Fietsverhuur
Van alle mogelijke transportmiddelen is en blijft de fiets de duurzaamste optie. Vermits iedereen baat heeft bij propere lucht en een gezonde aarde durven we een verplaatsing per tweewieler dan ook van harte aanbevelen. Als je geen eigen fiets hebt, of het niet zo praktisch vindt ‘m mee te sleuren naar je studentenstad, zijn er nog deze mogelijkheden.

If you do not own a bike or you do not find it practical to take it with you, there are other options.
VZW MOBIEL
Recht tegenover het station (uitgang Min. Tacklaan) vind je Mobiel vzw (www.mobiel.be) waar je voor een spotprijs van €6,00 per maand een blitse studentenfiets kunt huren. Bij defecten herstellen ze je stalen ros bovendien met de glimlach. Qua eenvoud en gebruiksgemak kan dat niet veel beter.

Right across the railway station (exit Min. Tacklaan) you will find Mobiel vzw (www.mobiel.be) where you can rent a bike for only €6 a month. Above all that, when there’s a problem with your funky bike, they will fix it with a smile. It does not get much easier than this.
DONKEY REPUBLIC
Als je maar sporadisch een fiets nodig hebt is de app van Donkey Republic (https://www.donkey.bike/nl/steden/fietsverhuur-kortrijk/ of via https://www.kortrijk.be/deelfietsen) een geknipte oplossing. Dankzij het systeem van deelfietsen ontsluit je via je smartphone snel een exemplaar wanneer je er één nodig hebt. Op het einde van je rit stal je je fiets mooi terug en sluit je het slot handmatig. De app sluit de rit af, rekent uit hoeveel hij je kost en trekt het bedrag automatisch af van je saldo.

If you only need a bike once in a while, the Donkey Republic app (https://www.donkey.bike/nl/steden/fietsverhuur-kortrijk/) is the perfect solution, thanks to the bike-sharing system you can use a bike when you need one only by using your smartphone. After your ride you just put the bike back in storage and close the lock on the bike. The app will tell you how much your ride costs and reduce it automatically from your account.
BLUE BIKE
Van het station naar je bestemming en terug? Het kan met Blue Bike (www.blue-bike.be). Op 53 stations in België vind je een Blue Bike-stalling waar je een fiets kunt lenen. Je maakt gebruik van Blue Bike door jaarlijks 12 euro lidgeld te betalen en 3,15 euro per 24 uur op te leggen als je gebruikt maakt van het systeem. Als je je fiets langer dan 3 dagen bijhoudt betaal je iets meer.

You can find Blue Bikes in 53 railway stations in Belgium where you can borrow a bike. You can use Bleu Bike by paying €12 a year for a membership, and €3,15 if you want to use it only for a day. If you keep the bike for more than 3 days you will pay a little more.
